Check the action of antacid tablet with acid.

Explanation

1) Take dil. HCl in a beaker and add two to three drops of methyl orange indicator. The solution turns to red.
2) Mix antacid tablet powder to the above solution in the beaker. Now the solution becomes normal i.e., the red colour disappears.
3) We can conclude that the antacid tablet neutralizes the acid.
