A man runs towards a mirror with a speed of 15 `m-s^(-1)` . What is the speed of his image?

A

`7 . 5 m-^(-1)`

B

`15 m-s^(-1)`

C

`30m-s^(-1)`

D

`45m-s^(-1)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Given : Speed of man (v) = 15`m-s^(-1)` . We know that at every instant of time, image of the man will be as far behind as the man is in front of the mirror. Therefore rate of change of distance of the image is same as that of the object (man). i.e., `15m-s^(-1)` towards the mirror .
