Given : Initial length `(l_(1))=1` and
final length `=(l_(2)) = (1)/(2)`
We know that conductance of the
conductor `(sigma)=(A)/(p_(1))prop(l)/(l)`
`:.(sigma_(1))/(sigma_(2))=(l_(2))/(l_(1))=(1//2)/(1) = (1)/(2) (or) sigma_(2) = 2 sigma_(1)`
Thus conductance of conductor will be doubled .
