Calculate the time needed for a net force of 5 N to change the velcoity of a 10 kg mass by 2 m/s .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Force , F = 5N
Change in velocity , v - u = `2ms^(-1)`
Mass , m = 10 kg
From Newton's second law of motion ,
`F=ma=m(v-u)/(t)`
`thereforet=(m(v-u))/(F)=(10xx2)/(5)=4s`
