Explosion is due to internal forces . In law of conservation of linear momentum internal forces cannot change the momentum of the system . So after explosion `m_(1)v_(1)+m_(2)v_(2)=0 " or "m_(1)v_(1)=-m_(2)v_(2)rArr` they will fly in opposite directions .
