Angular acceleration (`alpha` ): Rate of change of angular velocity is called angular acceleration.
Torque : It is defined as the product of the force and the perpendicular distance of the point of application of the force from that point.
Relation between angular acceleration and Torque:
We know that, `L = lomega`
On differentiating the above expression with respect to time 't'
`(dL)/(dt) = (d)/(dt) (Iomega) rArr (dL)/(dt) = I (domega)/(dt)`
But ` (dL)/(dt)` is the rate of change of angular momentum called Torque `(tau)` .
and `(domega)/(dt)` is the rate of change of angular velocity called angular acceleration (`alpha` )
`therefore` The relation between Torque and angular acceleration is, `tau = I alpha`
