Each term of a sequence, after the first, is inversely proportional to the term preceding it. If the first two terms are 2 and 6, what is the twelfth them?

A

2

B

6

C

46

D

`2*3^(11)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

`t_(n)*t_(n+1)=K`. `2*6=K=12`. Therefore, `6*t_(3)=12`, and so `t_(3)=2`, continuing this process gives all odd terms to be 2 and all even terms to be 6.
