Two trains, each with a speed of 50 kmph are headed towards each other on the same trake. A bird that can fly at the rate of 100kmph flies off one train when they are 100km apart and heads directly to the other train. On reaching the other train it flies back to the first train and so forth. (a) How many trips can the bird make from one train to the other before they crash ? (b) How is the total distance the bird travels ?

On reaching the other train, it flies back to the first and so on. total distance covered by the bird before trains collide is

Train A and B are moving towards each other on the same track with velocities 40 km/hr and 20 km/hr respectivley. A sparrow which can fly at 30 km/hr flies off from train A when the train are 30 km apart. The sparrow directly moves towards the train 'B' and on reaching there flies back to 'A' and so on. Distance travelled by the sparrow till the two trains will hit is:

Two trains A and B , 100km apart are travelling towards each other on different tracks with same starting speed of 50km//h . The train A accelerates at 20km//h^(2) and the train B retards at the rate 20km//h^(2) . The distance covered by the train A when they cross each other is

Two trans one t ravelling at 54 kmph and the other at 72 kmph are headed towards one another along a straingt track. When they are 1//2 km apart, both drivers simultaneously seee the other train and apply their brakes. If each train is decelerated at the rate of 1 m//s^(2) , will there be a collision ?
