A sphere of mass `m_(1)`collides with a sphere of mass `m_(2)` which is at rest. Prove that whatever be the initial direction of the first sphere, it will move off at right angles to the line of centres at the time of collision if the coefficient of restitution is `m_(1)//m_(2)`.
