A rope of length ((pi)/(2) + 1) R has been placed on a smooth sphere of radius R as shown in figure. End A of the rope is at the top of the sphere and end B is overhanging. Mass per unit length of the rope is lambda . The horizontal string holding this rope in place can tolerate tension equal to weight of the rope. Find the maximum mass (M_(0)) of a block that can be tied to the end B of the rope so that the string does not break.

A block sliding down on an inclined plane forms an angle theta with the horizontal. The friction coefficient depends on the distance x covered as mu = kx , where k is a constant. Find the distance covered by the block till it stops and its maximum velocity over this distance. Also , sketch a graph between square of velocity and distance covered x .

Tony and Jarvis have successfully stopped the invasion by closing the portal, but the buildings that are still standing are crumbling and can fall anytime soon. To get the city back to its place, four major organizations have taken an initiative of providing relief fund by selling a product where all the profit will be used for relief measures. Each of the four organizations has bought 500 units of the product each costing $0.03 (this cost must be deducted before any profit is made). Each company was allowed to charge any amount for their product. Using the clues given below, find out which company would make most of the profit. 1. The least amount of profit made was $ 11.30 less than the maximum profit amount 2. SHIELD made $3.80 more in profit than the company that sold its products at $0.075 3. The company that sold 219 products was not SHIELD. 4. Hammer Industries s-old its products for $0.07 more per product than Stark Industries. Hint: Remember to deduct the original cost of the products from profits when it is calculated.

A rectangular coil of n turns each of area A, carrying current I, when suspended in a uniform magnetic field B, experiences a torque tau=nIBAsin theta where theta is the angle with a normal drawn on the plane of coil makes with the direction of magnetic field. This torque tends to rotate the coil and bring it in equilibrium position. In stable equilibrium state, the resultant force on the coil is zero. The torque on coil is also zero and the coil has minimum potential energy. Read the above passage and answer the following questions: (i) In which position, a current carrying coil suspended in a uniform magnetic field experiences (a) minimum torque and (b) maximum torque? (ii) A circular coil of 200 turns, radius 5cm carries a current of 2*0A . It is suspended vertically in a uniform horizontal magnetic field of 0*20T , with the plane of the coil making an angle of 60^@ with the field lines. Calculate the magnitude of the torque that must be applied on it to prevent it from turning. (iii) What is the basic value displayed by the above study?

A cyclist rides along the circumference of a circular horizontal plane of radius R , with the friction coefficient mu=mu_(0)(1-(r )/(R )) , where mu_(0) is constant and r is distance from centre of plane O . Find the radius of the circle along which the cyclist can ride with the maximum velocity, what is this valocity?

A light rope fixed t one end of a wooden clamp on the ground passes over a tree branch and hangs on the other side. It mamkes an angle of 30^0 wilth the ground. A man weighing (60 kg) wants to climb up the rope. The wooden clamp can come out of the ground if an upward force greater than 360 N is applied it. Find the maximu acceleration in the upward direction with which the man can clim,b safely. Neglect friction at the tree branch. Take g=10 m/s^2

Two identical blocks each of mass M=9kg are placed on a rough horizontal surface of frictional coefficient mu=0.1 . The two blocks are joined by a light spring and block B is in contact with a vertical fixed wall as shown in figure. A bullet of mass m=1kg and v_0=10m//s hits block A and gets embedded in it. Find the maximum compression of spring. (Spring constant =240N//m, g=10m//s^2 )
