In meiotic cell division, during leptatene substage of prophase-I, the homologous chromosomes are arranged in the form of flower bouquet at one side of the nucleolus when the terminal ends of the chromatin threads are directed towords the nuclear membrane. Such organizaton of the chromosomes is called bouquet stage.
