The geometry of `[NiCl_(4)]^(2-)` and `[Ni(PPh_(3))_(2)Cl_(2)]`are :

A

tetrahedral and square planar redpectively.

B

both tetrahedral.

C

both square planar.

D

square planer and tetrahedral respactively.

(B*), `Cl^(-)` is weak field ligand so it dhoes no compel for pairing of electrons. So `[NiCl_(4)]^(2-)`

Hence, the geometry of `[NiCl_(4)]^(2-)` is terahedral with two unpaired electrons.
`PPh_(3)` group is bulkier one so if favours teterhedral geometry though `PPh_(3)` is strong field ligand.
