For the curve y=5x-2x^3 , if x increases...

For the curve `y=5x-2x^3` , if `x` increases at the rate of 2 units/sec, then how fast is the slope of the curve changing when `x=3?`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`dx/dt = 2`
`y= 5x-2x^3`
`dy/dx= 5 - 6x^2= g(x) `
`(d(g(x)))/(dt) = -12x * 2 = -24x `
at t=3, `= -24 xx 3= -72 `
