Define relative velocity....

Define relative velocity.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When two objects A and B are moving with different velocities , then the velocity of object A with respect to another object B is called relative velocity.
The formula for relative velocity of A with respect to B is `vecV_(AB)=vecV_(A)-vecV_(B)`.
