If `cos e cA+secA=cos e c B+s e cB ,` prove that: `"tanAtanB"=cot(A+B)/2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given:--
`cos e cA+secA=cos e c B+s e cB ,`
`=>cosecA−cosecB=secB−secA`
`=>1/(sinA)−1/(sinB)=1/(cosB)−1/(cosA)`
`=>(sinB−sinA)/(sinA.sinB)=(cosA−cosB)/(cosA.cosB)`
`=> (2sin(B−A)/2cos(B+A)/2)/(sinA.sinB)=(2sin(B−A)/2sin(B+A)/2)/(cosA.cosB)`
`=>(cos(B+A)/2)/(sin(B+A)/2)=(sinA.sinB)/(cosA.cosB)`
`=>cot(B+A)/2=tanA.tanB`
