What is elastic limit?...

What is elastic limit?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Hooke's law holds good within the elastic limit. Materials beyond the limit do not retrace the curve. So elastic limit is that maximum deforming force on a body, beyond which the material does not regain its shape and size when the force is removed.
