Pleura of the lungs includes two thin layers of tissue that protect and cushion the lungs Parietal pleura (outer layer) lines the inside of the chest wall and visceral pleura(inner layer)wraps around the lungs and it stuck so tightly to the lungs that it can not be peeled off.
