What are 'p' type semiconductors?...

What are 'p' type semiconductors?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When silicon (Si) or germanium (Ge) is doped with 15th group elements such as B or Al holes are created by these trivalent atoms, increases the conductivity of the semiconductors. This type of conductors are called 'p' type semiconductors.
