What is cell potentlal?...

What is cell potentlal?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The cell potential is the difference between the electrode potential of the cathode and anode in electrochemical cell. It is also called emf (electromotive force) of the cell when no current is drawn through the cell.
`E_("cell")=E_("cathode")-E_("Anode")`
