Explain the magnetic properties of transition metals.

Thus method is used when either the ore or the impurities are magnetic in nature.

The powdered ore is allowed to fall on a belt which moves over two roller's one of which is magnetic. As the ore particles move over the magnetic roller magnetic particles fall near the roller. Where as non-magnetic particles fall away from the roller dur to centrifugal force.
