Explain Zone refining.

Crude metal rod is heated from one end using a circular heater. At this region metal melts, when the heater is moved along the rod. The purset metal solidifies and impurities moves towards molten region.
By repeating the process impurities concentrate at one end of the rod which can be cut off.
