Write chemical reactions to show the amphoteric nature of water.

The atomic nature of water can be described on the basis of the following reactions
(1) Reaction with `H_(2)S`
The reaction takes place as:
`underset("Base")(H_(2)O_(l))+underset("Acid")(H_(2)S_(aq)) Leftrightarrow underset("Conjuate acid")(H_(3)O_(aq)^(+))+underset("Conjugate base")(HS_(aq)^(-))`
In the forward reaction, `H_(2)O_(l)` accepts a proton from `H_(2)S_(aq)`. Hence, it acts as a Lewis base.
Reaction with `NH_(3)`
The reaction takes place as:

In the forward reaction, `H_(2)O_(l)` denotes ites proton to `NH_(3_(aq)`. Hence, it acts as a Lewis acid.
