The photograph fo a house occupies an area of `1.7cm^2` on a 35 slide. The slide is projected on to a screen, and the area of the house on the screen is `1.55m^2` What is the liner magnification of the projector screen arrangement?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Area of the house on the slide =`1.75 cm^(2)`
Area of the image of the house formed on the screen `=1.55 m^(2)`
`=1.55 xx10^(4) cm^(2)`
Arial magnification, `m_(a) =("Area of image ")/("area of object") =1.55/1.75 xx10^(4)`
`:.` Linear magnification , `m_(1)=sqrt(m_(a))`
`=sqrt(1.55/1.76xx10^(4))=94.11`
