Can Bernoulli's equation be used to describe the flow of water through a rapid in a river? Explain.

Bernoulli's theorem is applicable only for there it ideal fluids in stremlined motion. Since the flow of water in a river is rapid, way cannot be treated as streamlined motion, the theorem cannot be used.
