Find the number of terms in the series 2...

Find the number of terms in the series `20 ,19 1/3,18 2/3...` the sum of which is 300. Explain the answer.

Solution. The given AP is `20 , 19 1 3 , 18 2 3` ...........
So, the sum of first 25 terms as well as that of first 36 terms is 300.
This is because the sum of all terms from `26th to 36th is 0`.
