Since the body is in equillibrium so we conclude `vec(F)_("net") = 0 ` and torque about any point is zero i.e., `vec(tau) _("net") = 0 `
Let us assume that we apply F force downward at A angle` theta` from the horizontal, at x distance from B
From `vec(F) _("net") = 0 `
`rArr F_("net") x = 0 ` Which gives
`F_(2) = 8 N `
From ` F_("net" y) = 0 rArr 5 + 6 = F_(1) + 3 `
`rArr F_(1) = 8 N `
If body is in equillibrium then torque about point B is zero .
`rArr 3 xx 5 + F_(1), x - 5 xx 10 = 0 `
` rArr 15 + 8x - 50 = 0 `
` x = (35)/(9) rArr x = 4 . 3 75 ` cm
