Find the correct order of acid strengths of the following compounds :

A

`F gt D gt E gt B gt C gt A`

B

`D gt F gt Egt C gt gt B gt A`

C

`D gt E gt F gt B gt C gt A`

D

`F gt E gt D gt B gt C gt A`

The correct Answer is:
A

In case (F) para nitrophenol -R effect of `(-NO_2)` group at para position of benzene ring increase its acidity by electron withdrawing effect of `-NO_2` group.
In case (D) para hydroxy acetophenone `-COCH_3` group shows less (-R) effect than `-NO_2` gruop. SO, it will be less acidic than para nitrophenol,
In case (E), m-nitrophenol will show less acidic character than D becasue in this case only -I effect in present.
In case (C) -OMe is a electron releasing group which decrease the stability of phenoxide ion by increasing electron density so it will be less acidic than (B) and in case of (A) resonance is not present, Hence, it will be less acidic than C. Hence, the correct order of acidic strengths of acid is
`F gt D gt E gt B gt C gt A`
