If `(x)/(a) cos theta+(y)/(b) sin theta=1 and x sin theta- y cos theta= sqrt(a^(2) sin^(2) theta+ b^(2) cos^(2) theta)`, prove that `(x^(2))/(a)+(y^(2))/(b)=a+b`.
