20 mL 3(N) HCl solution is mixed with 15 mL 4(N)NaOH solution. What will be the pH of the resulting solution?

Number of milliequivalents of HCl present in 20 mL 3(N) HCl solution`=3xx20=60` [`because` Number of milliequivalent=normality of the solution`xx`volume of the solution (mL)] and number of milliequivalents of NaOH present in 15 mL 4(N)NaOH solution`=4xx15=60`.
As the solution of HCl and NaOH have the same number of milliequivalents in the mixed solution, neither the acid nor the alkali will be left in excess. since NaCl is a salt of strong acid and strong base, it will not undergo any hydrolysis, i.e., the solution will be neutral annd its pH will be 7.
