At a certain temperature, `K_(w)` of pure water`=10^(-12)` what will be the pH-range and pH of the neutral solution at that temperature?

At the given temperature, `K_(w)=10^(-12)`. Hence, at that temperature, `pK_(w)=12`. We know that at a particular temperautre, pH-scale ranges from 0 to `pK_(w)` and `pH=(1)/(2)pK_(w)` for a neutral solution at that temperature. Therefore, at the given temperature, the range of pH-scale will be from 0 to 12 and pH of a neutral solution at that temperature will be `(1)/(2)pK_(w)=(1)/(2)xx12=6`.
