Three separate cylinders contain methane, ethylene & acetylene respectively. How will you identify them ?

The three gases are first separately passed through ammoniacal solution of cuprous chloride. The gas, which gives red precipitate, is acetylene. The gases in the remaining two cylinders are separately passed through a solution of bromine in `C""Cl_4` . The gas, which decolourises the reddish -brown solution of bromine , is ethylene . Hence the remaining gas in the other cylinder is methane.
