Why does aniline not participate in Friedel-Crafts reaction ?

Aniline reacts with `AlCl_3` to form the complex `C_6H_5-overset(oplus)NH_2-overset(Theta)AlCl_3` which makes `-NH_2` group electron withdrawing in nature. Consequently the benezene ring becomes highly deactivated and so aniline does not participate in Friedel-Crafts reaction
