Arrange the given electrolyte solutions ...

Arrange the given electrolyte solutions in ascending order of molar conductivities : (1) `0.1 (M) Na_(2)SO_(4)` ,( 2). 1 (M) `Na_(2)SO_(4)` , (3) 0.01 (M) `Na_(2)SO_(4)` , (4). Infinitely diluted `Na_(2)SO_(4)` solution

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Molar conductivity of the solution of an electrolyte increases with increase indilution of the solution , and its volume reaches a maximum limiting value when the solution becomes infinitely dilute . Therefore , ranking of the given solution in terms of their increasing molar conductivities will give the corresponding order : `1(M) Na_(2)SSO_(4) lt 0.1 (M) Na_(2)SO_(4) lt 0.01 (M) Na_(2)SO_(4) lt ` infinitely dilute ` Na_(2)SO_(4)`
