Why there is generally an increase in density of elements from titanium (Z = 22) to copper (Z = 29) in the first series of transition elements ?

Along the transition series, from Ti to u, there is a gradual decrease in size whereas increase in have been seen (due to increase in mass no.) which results in the increase in density of the transition metals.
