(v) Allyl alcohol to propenal
(vi) But-2-ene to ethanal

(a) It is a controlled oxidation and is carried by either PCC or PDC.
(b) Oxidation is carried by `K_(2)Cr_(2)O_(7)//H_(2)SO_(4)` or by chromic acid `(H_(2)CrO_(4))`.
(c ) It involves the controlled oxidation of `CH_(3)` group to `CHO` group and is carried by `CrOO_(3)//(CH_(3)CO)_(2)O`. or by `CrO_(2)-Cl_(2)` (chromyl chloride) called Etard's reaction.
(d) Allyl alcohol is converted to propenal by PCC which oxidise only the primary alcoholic group without affecting double bond.
(e ) But-2-ene is converted to ethanla by ozonolysis which is carried with `O_(3)` followed by decomposition with `H_(2)O` in the presence of `Zn` dust.
(f) It is carried with di-isobutyl aluminimum hydride (DIBAL-H)
