Three different gases `x, y, z` of molecular masses 2, 16 and 64 were enclosed in a vessel at a constant temperature is correct

A

Gas `z` will be at the top of the vessel

B

Gas `y` will be at the bottom and x will be at the top

C

Gas `x` will be at the bottom and y will be at the top

D

Gases will form a homogeneous mixture

The correct Answer is:
D

As the volume of the bubble at the surface becomes 8 times, pressure at the bottom of the lake is 8 times the pressure at the surface. As pressure on the surface = 1 atm, pressure at the bottom = 8 atm.
Thus, pressure due to the depth of the lake = 7 atm = 70 m of water.
