In cold countries, sunlight required to grow plants is less. Hence, plants are kept in a house made of glass, palced in such a manner, so that sunlight enters the green house, heat up the soil and plants.
The warm soil and plants emit infrared radiations. Since , glass is opaque to infrared radiations, it partly reflects and partily absorbs these radiations.
