In a ` A B C ,` if `/_A=50^@` and `/_B=60^@` , determine the shortest and largest sides of the triangle.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have,`∠A=50 and ∠B=60`
`:.∠A+∠B+∠C=180^@` [ Angle sum property of a `/_\ `]
⇒` 50 + 60+ /_C=180`
⇒`110+/_C=180`
⇒`/_C=180−110`
⇒`/_C=70`
Since ∠A and ∠C are the smallest and largest angles respectively, therefore corresponding sides BC and AB are the smallest and largest sides of the triangle respectively.
