Given: `AB=6cm`,`CD=8cm` and `OL=4cm`
Let `OM=x cm`
Let the radius of the circle be `r`
In right `ΔOAL`,
`OA^2=OL^2+AL^2`
`r^2=4^2+(6/2)^2`
`r^2=4^2+3^2`
`r^2=16+9=25`
`r=sqrt25=5 cm`
In right `ΔOMC`
`OC^2=OM^2+CM^2`
`5^2=x^2+(8/2)^2`
`x^2=5^2-4^2`
`x^2=25-16=9`
`x=sqrt9=3`
`therefore` The distance of the other chord from the centre`=3 cm`
