Prove that if an isolated (isolated means no charges are near the sheet) large conducting sheet is given a charge then the charge distributes equally on its two surfaces.

Let there is x charge on left side of sheet and Q-xcharge on right side of sheet.
Since point P lies inside the conductor so
`E_(P) = O (x)/(2 A epsilon_(0)) - (Q-x)/(2A epsilon_(0)) = 0`
`rArr (2x)/(2A epsilon_(O)) = (Q)/(2 A epsilon_(O)) rArr x = (Q) - x = (Q)/(2)`
So charge in equally distributed on both sides
