The points (0,5) , (0,-9) and (3,6) are collinear.

Text Solution

Here ,`x_(1)=0,x_(2)=0,x_(3)=3 and y_(1)=5,y_(2)=-9,y_(3)=6`
`:'` Area of triangle `triangle=(1)/(2)[x_(1)(y_(2)-y_(3))+x_()(y_(3)-y_(1))+x_(3)(y_(1)-y_(2))]`
`:.triangle=(1)/(2)[0(-9-6)+0(6-5)+3(5+9)]`
`=(1)/(2)(0+0+3xx14)=21ne0`
If the area of triangle formed by the points (0,5),(0-9) and (3,6) is zero , then the points are collinear. Hence , the points are non -collinear.
