During in vitro synthesis of DNA, a researcher used 2'-3'—dideoxycytidine triphosphate as raw nucleotide in place of 2'-deoxy cytidine triphosphate other conditions remaining as standard. Will further polymerisation of DNA continue upto the end or not? Explain.

A DNA template plus primer with the structure (where =a phosphate group ) is placed in an in vitro DNA synthesis system containing Mg^(2+) , an excess of the four deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates, etc. and a mutant form of E. coli DNA polymerase I that lacks 5'rarr 3' exonuclease activity . The 5' rarr 3' polymerase and 3' rarr 5' exonuclease activities of this aberrant enzyme are identical to this aberrant enzyme are identical to those of normal E. coli DNA polymerase I. It simply has no 5'rarr 3' exonuclease activity . What will be the structure of the final product ?

What is not true about cell cycle ? a. During G_(1) phase there is active synthesis of RNA and proteins but no change in its DNA content b. In synthesis or S phases, each chromosome carriers a duplicate set of genes c. During G_(2) phase, a cell contains double the amount ($C) of DNA present in the original diploid cell (2C) d. In S-phase a cell doubles the original diploid (2n) chromosome number
