Five equal resistances of `10Omega` are connected between A and B as shown in figure. The resultant resistance

A

`10Omega`

B

`5Omega`

C

`15Omega`

D

`6Omega`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

According to the given circuit `10Omega and 10Omega` resistance are connected in series.
`therefore R'=10+10=20Omega`
`R', R'' and 10Omega` all connected in parallel than
`therefore (1)/(R_("eq"))=(1)/(R')+(1)/(R'')+(1)/(10)=(1)/(20)+(1)/(20)+(1)/(10)=(1+1+2)/(20)`
`=(4)/(20)=(1)/(5),R_("eq")=5Omega`
