In the circuit shown in figure, what will be the reading of the voltmeter ?

A

300 V

B

900 V

C

200 V

D

400 V

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
C

Here, `V_(L)=V_(C )=100 V, V=200 V`
As `V = sqrt(V_(R )^(2)+(V_(L)-V_(C ))^(2))`
`therefore 200 = sqrt(V_(R )^(2)+(100-100)^(2))=V_(R )` or `V_(R )=200 V`
