What is the major reason for rise in demand for foreign currency when its price falls?

When price of foreign exchange fall,s imports from that country becomes cheaper e.g, when exchange rate falls from Rs 50 to Rs 40 for one dollar, it mens less rupees are required to buy good worth 1 dollar from America, hence demand rises.
