Can equilibrium be achieved between water and its vapours in an open vessel ? Explain yours answer and say what happens eventuallly.

No: equilibrium cannot be achieved between water and its vapours in an open vesel. Since water vapours are escaping out of the container, to take their place more of liquid water changes to vapours. This process continous till the entire water has changed to the vapours.
