Nitric acid is an oxidising agent and reacts with PbO but it does not react with `PbO_(2)`. Explain why?

Pbo is basic oxide and reacts with conc `HNO_(3)` ."It is an acidbase reaction".
`2Pbo+4hNO_(3)rarr2Pb(NO_(3))_(2)+2H_(2)O`
On the other hand in `Pbo_(2) "the oxidation state of the metal is +4.It cannote be oxidised further by the acid. Therefore,no chemical reaction takes place. Thus" PbO_(2) "is pasive and only PbO reacts with HNO_(3)`
