This is explained on the bais of inert pair inert pair effect . Memebers of group 13 have tendency to exhibit both, 1+1 and +3 states the stability of +3 oxidation state decreases down the group while that of +1 oxidisation state increase. On this basis.
(i) TICI is more stable than `TICl_(3)` (+1 oxidations taet is more stable than +3 oxidations state)
(ii) `AlCl_(3)` is more stable than AlCl (+3 oxidisation stable than +1 oxidation state)
(ii) InCl is more stable than `InCl_(3)` (+1 oxidation is more stable +3 oxidation state)
