Consider the following diagram in which an electrochemical cell is coupled to an electrolytic cell. What will be the polarity of electrodes 'A' and 'B' in the electrolytic cell ?

In the electrolytic cells coupled with an electrochemical cell, electrode 'A' will have negative polarity since it is connected to copper plate in the electrochemical cell which has positive polarity, At the same time electrode 'B' have positive polarity.
