Solutions of two electrolytes A and B ar...

Solutions of two electrolytes A and B are diluted. The `Lambda_(m)` of 'B' increases 1.5 times while that of A increases 25 times. Which of the two is a strong electrolyte? Justify your answer.

The avialable information suggests that the electrolyte 'B' is a strong elctrolyte. When dissolved in water, it is almost completely ionised `(prop~~1)`. Dilution of the electrolyte mainly decreases interionic attractive forces. Therefore ,`Lambda_(m)` of the electrolyte 'B' increases to a small extant (nearly 50%). On the hand, the electrolyte 'B' is a weak electrolyte. It is ionised only to a small extent. That is why, `Lambda_(m)` for weak electrolyte may become even 25 times when diluted to large extent.
